We Grow Because We Are Committed to Quality. |
After
successfully managing "Art and Frame" in Ogden for two
years, Dave Rees realized that he had a passion for
custom picture framing. Customers soon recognized his
"creative framing" techniques. He then decided to open
up a frame shop in Ogden where his niche would be
"creative framing." Fine Arts Gallery opened for
business on January 17, 1989. Dave sold his car, a 1975
280-Z, for $1100.00 to a local car dealer to raise
startup capital. With these funds, he purchased the very
bare necessities to open the frame shop. He borrowed
$40.00 from his father to put in the cash drawer to make
change. Fine Arts Gallery grew rapidly, benefiting from
word-of-mouth advertising. Over the last 16 years, Fine
Arts Gallery has grown and relocated three times to meet
customer demand. Fine Arts Gallery now boasts a
beautiful gallery atmosphere and is locally known for
high-end, quality creative framing.
Dave's wife, Maggie, is actively involved with the
company managing the financial aspects of the business.
She has been doing this since 1993. Her professional
background includes five years in banking and three
years of administrative and retail experience. She also
assists in the design and framing area during the busy
season.
Over the years, they have developed new products and
services to the business. These include digital
photographic restoration, digital imaging, and large
format printing. In April of 1996, Decor Magazine, an
industry magazine, wrote an article praising Fine Arts
Gallery's new concept. Shortly after that article was
published, they received over one hundred calls from
frame shops across the nation wanting to know more about
this new service they had created. Fine Arts Gallery has
enjoyed national recognition about its creativity. Decor
Magazine again wrote an article in the summer of 1996
about this creativity. Fine Arts Gallery & Custom
Framing's success is a direct result of Dave and
Maggie's uncompromising commitment to quality and
excellent customer service. |
